Based on its long history, ISRI at the age of 122, has already done many efforts for the national sugar industry improvement. Various ISRI’s technology have been used by sugarcane farmers and sugar vactories such as high yielding varieties of sugarcane, alternative fertilizers, plant cultivation technology, sugar processing, waste management, etc. ISRI also provides support for the government and stakeholders by conducting various studies about possibility to do expansion of sugar industry out of Java, building of ethanol factory, improvement of sugar factory’s co-generation, increasing capacity of sugar factories, building rafination sugar factory, institutional farmers, and waste management at sugar factory.

This website is created especially for fastening the technology transfer of ISRI to the users, especially sugarcane farmers and sugarcane factories. Besides that, this website is expected as a bridge of information spreading related to sugar such as training, courses, seminars, field trip, sugarcane statistics, and other activities which are important to be known by sugar industry runners and public.

Recently, information tends to be essential for every person in the world do that it should be more accessible. In this condition, clearly we can see that website is absolutely needed world wide as a tool for effective communication. However, since ISRI itself still has limited experience in managing information technology, some weaknesses might be found. For that reason, we would appreciate if there are any critiques, advices, and comments from the netters in order to improve our website quality.
